As a distraction of epic proportion, I have decided to create a small garden this year in a spot by my apartment.
Maybe the city, maybe Paul Allen, maybe Eddie Vedder, regardless Its growing and its growing fast.
I have five raised beds and have planted Lettuce, Kale, Carrots, Beets, Radishes, Snap Peas, Chard, Strawberries, herbs (legal of course) and some edible flowers. Inside, in my closet I have three kinds of Tomatoes, Cucumbers, more Carrots, Basil and Cosmos under a light.
Something about the I-5 bridge looming overhead makes me happy. Thousands of people traveling from Vancouver to Mexico on this West Coast main line pass by my pea patch every day.
